The Matisse Museum in Nice
The collection of works gathered at the Matisse Museum in Nice belongs to the largest in the world. There are also items of everyday use that once belonged to Henri Matisse.
Vence, Gombrowicz’s city
Witold Gombrowicz, a Polish writer of international renown, spent the last years of his life in Vence. In the village you will find traces of his presence. It is worth seeing the Old Town in Vence and its fountains from which mineral water flows.
The Lerins Islands
The Lerins Islands (Îles de Lérins) is an archipelago of 4 islands located near Cannes. These islands are a great place to relax in nature, away from the crowds of tourists who stay on the French Riviera.
The Oceanographic Museum of Monaco
Monaco’s Oceanographic Museum is not only about a large aquarium with beautiful fish. Here you can also stroke a live shark, enter the replica of a bathyscaphe, and see the fantastic Monaco and Monte-Carlo panorama from the roof of the building.
Villefranche-sur-Mer
Villefranche-sur-Mer is definitely my favorite place on the French Riviera. The old village descends from the rocks straight into the bay, and the beach, although small, is covered with a fine gravel instead of stones.
Picasso Museum in Antibes
The Picasso Museum in Antibes is housed in Grimaldi Castle, which was inhabited by the artist during 1946. Today, you can admire Picasso’s works that were created in this place.
