You must visit Cassis when you’re in the area of Marseille. This small port town is beautiful. The most famous attraction in Cassis are the nearby “calanques”, which are known as the French fjords, but the town itself is nevertheless charming.
When I saw the Verdon Gorge for the first time, I understood why the French have so many adjectives to describe something wonderful. Verdon is maqnifique and formidable! You just have to see it.
Marseille is the second largest city in France, and the capital of Provence. It has a unique Mediterranean character and is probably the most multicultural city in Europe.
