Fontvieille, a district of Monaco
Fontvieille is a district in Monaco built partly on reclaimed land from the sea. Instead of cars, here yachts are parked in front of the apartments; and trees grow on the roofs of the buildings.
Monaco’s zoo
I admit I don’t like zoos; but I visited the Zoo in Monaco by accident and it turned out to be a fantastic place. I do not know how such a large zoo fits into such a small space, but Monaco proves once again that it is possible. And by the way, it is guaranteed to be great fun.
Monaco’s Louis II Stadium
Monaco’s stadium is located in the Fontvieille district and is named after Louis II. This is the AS Monaco team’s stadium and can be visited with a guide.
The Exotic Garden and cave in Monaco
There are many exotic gardens on the Cote d’Azur, but the Exotic Garden in Monaco is unique. It is built on a rocky hill, so provides an amazing view of the principality. But its biggest attraction is “in” the rock – it has an actual cave! The cave is deep and unusually rich in the formations that nature has been creating for hundreds of thousands of years.
The car collection of the Prince of Monaco
A hundred cars, including many antiques, can be seen under one roof here in Monaco. However, this is not a museum, but... the private car collection of the Prince of Monaco! This unique garage is open to visitors and is a great tourist attraction.
