City Games on the French Riviera

Walk, solve puzzles and win a secret word: city games you play on your phone, at your own pace.

A city game turns a walk into an adventure. You follow a route through the city with your phone, hear a short story at every stop, solve one puzzle and win a letter. At the end, the letters spell a secret word. No guide, no fixed time, no crowd: you play when you like.

Frequently asked questions

How does a city game work?

You walk a route through the city with your phone. At every stop you hear or read a short story, look around and answer one question by tapping a button. Each right answer wins a letter, and together the letters spell a secret word that unlocks the last story.

What do I need to play?

A smartphone with internet to open the game, comfortable shoes and about two to two and a half hours. Headphones are handy if you want to listen to the stories, and a charged phone or a small power bank helps on a long walk.

How does the code work?

Buy once from our online store (an outside seller handles the payment and emails you a code). Enter the code on the game page to open the game on your phone. One purchase covers your family, up to the number of activations set in the store, so please do not share the game or the code outside your family.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once you have opened the game, tap "Download for offline" and it saves the stories, recordings and route map on your phone. Then you can play with no signal, even in Monaco without roaming. For walking directions without a signal, download the Nice area in Apple Maps or Google Maps before you go (Apple Maps also gives walking directions offline).

Is there a guide or a fixed start time?

No. There is no guide and no booking. You start when you like, stop for ice cream or a rest whenever you want, and the game waits for you.
